This takes sharing love with many more others from an idea to an easy and simple act that can be performed with anyone, anywhere, and at any time.

More love and appreciation for our respective contributions to life is what we’re each wishing for, not more politics. Politics hasn’t done anything great for humans since Civil Rights in the 1960’s. We need to cease and desist expecting politics and politicians to do what only love and loving hearts can do. It’s time to stop pretending that things will be rosy again as soon as the right candidates show up to make it so. The back side of the Love Yü Token tells the truth about how it really is: TAG. For starters, we have to expand our day-to-day, working definition of what love is. Love is much more than a personal experience that we reserve for a few. Love is both the fabric that living things emerge from and a universal material available for living things to create with.

Really, how absurd is it to expect that you can go to a voting booth and elect a middleman to love your neighbors on your behalf; to delegate your measure of love to someone else and expect them to dispense it fairly on your behalf?

To see the true absurdity of this, imagine electing someone to love and care for your child on your behalf for the next X number of years. Unimaginable, you say? Then why do people keep doing the equivalent of this by expecting elected politicians to love and care for them and others? Why do people keep acting shocked and furious when they inevitably don’t? Why do people keep expecting politics to do what only love can do? Why do people not see that loving others (besides the relative few they’ve personally chosen) is their reason for being here in the first place?

are your views blocking YOUR view?

It seems to me that people’s views are blocking their view. To be more precise, it’s people’s attachment to their precious views that is blocking the best view.

We need to begin again at the beginning. This means opening our hands and dropping our attachment to the views and opinions we’ve accumulated and are clutching so tightly and fiercely–as if our views are who and what we are, and without them, we would have no idea who we are. For many, this actually IS their reality, and it is a false reality. A reality such as this is about the head and not the heart. The heart has no use for views and opinions because its function is to KNOW, not to think or suppose or believe.

The journey from the head to the heart is the longest journey most of us will ever take. It begins with opening our hands and ceasing to clutch at our views and opinions and our malignant need to be seen as the rightest and the smartest and the best. At the end of that journey, a magnificent vista awaits. From that viewing point, we finally see the big picture and understand that all living things are merely interesting variations of one thing. That one thing is what we call Life, which is animated, grown, and sustained by the energy we call Love. When we complete the journey, we can finally see that all of humanity’s imagined divisions–borders, boundaries, rules, supposed norms, Gods and religions, ideas about right and wrong–are merely reflections of the brain’s overwhelming fear that Love doesn’t know what its doing. Many wait to complete the journey at the last minute when it naturally comes to an end, as it does at death. What a waste of life that is.

WHAT DO WE ALL HAVE IN COMMON?

We can’t start recreating our world as long as all the false divisions we have imagined remain in place, so starting requires identifying something that we ALL have in common and can agree on. Love is that thing. Almost every one of us will agree that Love is a wonderful thing and that we want more of it than we currently encounter. Love is the one thing we all agree on, so this blog will talk a great deal about love, to help you keep your attention trained on our mutual destination. It will also offer unusual perspectives, to encourage you to change up your viewing point and perhaps see more about the nature and essence of love than you’ve seen before.

Who will create a connected, loving society if not the members of that society?
